Roasted parmesan and polenta tartlet with courgette and slow roasted tomato

Well, yesterday we took the plunge to buy our first *proper* camera - a Nikon D80 DSLR with a Sigma Macro Lens for those loving close-ups with real depth of field.

The technical nature of a lot of photographic jargon has always been a barrier to jumping in sooner but judging by our first session yesterday the D80 is a very forgiving camera!

Amongst the subjects yesterday was our new parmesan and polenta tartlet.

Polenta is an often-overlooked ingredient for creating wheat-free dishes. Not only is it easy to digest, but polenta’s consistency allows it to make a strong visual impact as well.

Look out for more photos and recipes in the days and weeks ahead!
