A Personal Message From Licia

First of all, this is the first newsletter in a long time, for which
I'm sorry. But as you will learn there have been many good reasons. Many of you are
probably aware that in the last two years I've had many challenges with
my health. This has taken me completely by surprise because I've always
been very healthy until recently becoming ill.
I always wanted to have my own business and I was so happy when my
dream came true, opening Del Sole in 2006 in one of the prettiest
cities in England - Bath. I loved working in my store, cooking new
dishes and keeping the standards of service very high. Its always been
a pleasure to open the doors of the store for my customers.
But things got very difficult for me. In the last two years I've had
three different operations and the emotional, physical and
physiological impact on my life and my husband has been huge. My body
was under so much strain that I also developed a serious food
intolerance towards, wheat, gluten and cow dairy products.

New From The Blog - Mini Chocolate Ganache Cakes

I'm sure that many of you have been in a real rush while
making your food shopping. I'm normally rushing even when I do the
shopping for the store.
Sometimes I pick up the wrong box or bottle and once this included a double 2 litre pack of Hershey chocolate syrup.
I actually had ketchup not chocolate syrup on my list, but what can
you do when you're in a rush and you try to do too many things at the
same time? Answer - you go home with a different product.
For a while I was wondering what to do with the chocolate syrup... then
I remembered a Barefoot Contessa recipe that used chocolate syrup.
Apparently this was one of the cakes she used to make for her shop
when she first opened and it was one that stuck in the memory of her
customers because of its amazing rich flavour.
So here's my version... and just a word of advice - this is so simple that anybody can bake it!
Be careful, these little cakes are terribly addictive!
